The HPV vaccine is recommended for girls and women 11-26 years of age. It is given in a series of 3 injections over a 6 month period. Check with your insurance regarding coverage provided for the vaccine.
The ISU Student Insurance plan covers illnesses and injuries. Because this is a preventive vaccine, Student Insurance does not cover any of the cost.
The vaccine is available at the ISU Student Health Service, depending on the manufacturer’s supply. Each dose is $130 ($390 for the full series). You may also qualify to receive the vaccine at your local county health department at low or no cost.
