After Hours Care Options

If you have a life-threatening emergency at any time, call 911 for transport to a local hospital.

Students who require urgent or emergency medical care after the ISU clinic is closed are advised to use a local clinic or hospital. Use of a specific facility or provider is not required. Payment for off-campus services is not included in the pre-paid student health services fee. Use of a hospital emergency room for a non-emergency condition is expensive and may not be covered by your insurance.

Local hospitals/emergency rooms:

BroMenn Regional Medical Center

Virginia at Franklin Avenue, Normal

309-454-1400

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center

2200 E. Washington, Bloomington

309-662-3311

For insurance benefits, check with your insurance carrier.  Both Promptcare locations offer discounts to ISU Student Insurance policyholders, and will also help with filing insurance claims.  Bromenn Hospital offers similar discounts and claims services.
