Alcohol

The harm reduction philosophy reflects the spectrum of alcohol choices, including abstinence. If you don’t drink, you are not at risk for suffering health or impairment problems related to alcohol. However, you may suffer some secondary consequences, such as baby-sitting a roommate or cleaning up after someone who got sick in your bathroom.

If you do choose to drink alcohol, we have resources available that can explain a safe approach to drinking. We encourage you to enjoy socializing in ways that will keep you out of harm’s way and that also ensure you will not compromise your academic aspirations and achievements.
