Does ISU have the highest rates of STDs/STIs among colleges in the U.S. ?

There is no way to know what the STI rate is at other colleges and universities, but we have not been seeing an increase in STIs at ISU over the last several years . Fewer students are sexually active, and monogamy and condom use has increased among those who are having sex.  However, keep in mind that a person can be infected with an STD/STI and not notice any signs or symptoms, so they may not seek treatment and the number of reported cases may be lower than the actual number of cases.
