Summer Coverage

Continuous year-round coverage is available if the student maintains University registration at 9 or more credit hours during the first and second semesters and pre-registers for 6 or more hours of summer classes. Insured spring students who will not be enrolled in sufficient summer hours to be automatically assessed an insurance fee may purchase summer coverage by application through the i-Campus portal between April 16 and May 26, 2009.

New students who register for six or more credit hours after the first day of summer school classes have the option of paying a pro-rated fee for summer school coverage if they plan to return to school in the fall. Payment is due the first day of the summer class(es).

Professional Practice, Internship, Student Teaching, Graduate Assistantship

Insured students who will not be registered for sufficient credit hours in the fall to qualify for insurance because of academic program requirements (i.e., interns, student teachers) may obtain coverage if they apply and pay the appropriate fee through the i-Campus portal between July 7 and September 2, 2008.

Study Abroad

Students registered at ISU for Study Abroad are assessed the insurance fee.  Such students are eligible to apply to expand the coverage period by direct payment of the premium for the previous or subsequent term, dependent upon program dates and requirements.

Dissertation or Thesis Students

Insured students enrolling for fewer than 9 credit hours due to the writing of a dissertation or thesis, are eligible to purchase fall 2008 coverage by applying through the i-Campus portal between July 7 and September 2, 2008.

Graduating Students

Insured graduating students who will not be enrolled in classes during the following term may continue coverage for one additional term. Fall 2008 coverage can be purchased through the i-Campus portal between July 7 and September 2, 2008.
