The SHS Radiology department provides professional imaging services and electrocardiograms (ECG) using the latest diagnostic technology. General x-rays are ordered by a Student Health Services clinician to determine bone or tissue injury or pathology. All x-rays are available for immediate evaluation by an SHS clinician, and are fully interpreted by an off-site radiologist.
The department is staffed by licensed radiographers and is inspected annually by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency’s Department of Nuclear Safety. This certification ensures that quality, safe radiographic procedures are performed in the department.
A digital copy of your exam will be provided upon request for the purpose of continued care off campus. A photo ID is required to obtain the copy and there is no additional charge.
